HIGHFILL President Awarded for Outstanding Service

HIGHFILL President Tyler Highfill was honored with the Kasey Monroe Outstanding Service Award at the NC AWWA-WEA 2014 Annual Conference. According to the NC AWWA-WEA website, the award is given by the Governing Body of the Association to recognize “services performed by an individual throughout the year that were above that normally expected from a volunteer member.”

For Tyler, receiving an award named after Ms. Monroe was particularly special. “Kasey was a mentor to me who I came to know through the Association,” he says, “I think about her often and am truly honored to receive an award bearing her name.”

Tyler currently chairs the NC AWWA-WEA Career Ladders Task Force, is a 5-S member, and has served as Trustee and WEF Delegate on the NC AWWA-WEA board in the past.
